Audi introduced their R8 LMS in 2015 as their GT3 class car, replacing the highly successful R8 LMS Ultra. As usual in GT3 spec cars, an “Evo” amendment is made 3-4 years after the car is introduced, resulting in the 2019 R8 LMS Evo. Despite aero changes to the front and rear the car remains instantly recognisable.
The Macau FIA GT World Cup is sometimes referred to as the Monaco of Asia, with its incredibly narrow city street circuit – which hasn’t been helped by the ever widening GT cars. There is also the glamour of the casino and entertainment ex-Portuguese enclave, which is why all the liveries from this event are just so extra.
